The Fall Equinox marks a powerful turning point upon the Wheel of the Year—a sacred moment when day and night stand in equal measure, meeting one another in perfect balance.
Traditionally known as Mabon, this Sabat celebrates the second harvest and invites us to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the abundance that has come into our lives. As the strength of the Sun begins to diminish and we enter the darker months of the year, we are offered an opportunity to acknowledge what we have cultivated, what we have received, and what we are now ready to carry forward.
Harvest is not only about the bounty of the Earth. We each experience our own personal harvest. What intentions have you nurtured throughout the year? What has grown within you? What challenges have strengthened you? What accomplishments, relationships, lessons, opportunities, and moments of joy can you now recognize as part of the abundance you have created? The Fall Equinox is a time to honour these fruits of our labour and offer gratitude for all that has supported us along the way.
It is also a powerful moment to contemplate balance. With light and darkness equal in the sky, nature reminds us of the importance of harmony within ourselves. We can reflect upon the different areas of our lives and ask where greater balance may be needed — between action and rest, giving and receiving, the inner and outer worlds, and the many responsibilities and desires that shape our experience. From this place of awareness, we can consciously prepare for the season ahead.
Join the MMS Wicca Coven Community for this sacred celebration as we honour the turning of the Wheel, give thanks for the harvest, connect with the Divine energy of the Sun, and celebrate his presence and power.
Initiates are warmly invited to share this experience with their friends and family as we gather together in ceremony, community, gratitude, and magick.
